The accolades and recognition for Armin van Buuren are practically endless. And for good reason. With an illustrious career that spans over two decades, Van Buuren is one of electronic dance music’s most influential figures. A five-time holder of the No. 1 spot in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ poll, van Buuren decided to pursue a life of music despite studying law at university. He scored his first big hit in 1995 with “Blue Fear” and by 1999, his single “Communication” helped him land his first record deal. In 2001, van Buuren added radio host to his resumé when he began his highly-acclaimed show “A State of Trance”. More than a decade later, the two-hour program is still going strong and is broadcast to over 20 million listeners a week in 74 different countries. Van Buuren also has five studio albums to his credit – “76” (2003), “Shivers” (2005), “Imagine” (2008), “Mirage” (2010) and “Intense” (2013). His fifth record, “Intense”, included the hit single “This Is What It Feels Like” which went on to earn van Buuren the first Grammy nomination of his career in 2014.
