Characterized by a cinematic and vivid sound, Above & Beyond has been one of trance music’s most successful acts since their formation in the early 2000s. The trio, comprised of Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki, first came together in 2001. Tasked with remixing the track “Home” by British production duo Chakra, McGuinness, working then as a marketing director for Warner Music, turned to Grant and Siljamäki for assistance. Success followed and Above & Beyond was officially born. Not long after, the trio found themselves as in-demand producers on a number of remixes, including Madonna’s “What It Feels Like for a Girl” later that year. Above & Beyond has four albums to their credit, beginning with “Tri-State” released in 2006, followed by the highly praised “Group Therapy” in 2011. In 2014, the trio reworked a handful of songs from their catalogue with live instruments for their third-studio album “Acoustic”. A year later, the group released their most recent labor of love, “We Are All We Need” to worldwide acclaim.
